2022/23 Football Season.

Oh dear another 1-0 defeat. Oh well next up is the clash with Tranmere @Lamont D (May the best team win) and Bolton next Saturday and then its the big kick off the following Friday night.
 
We trounced Southport.
However, another couple of injuries and we are very short on numbers.
A couple of trialists, one scored, then limped off!

Can't see us putting out a decent team for your lot mate. Might go down and have a look at this one!I

Another fun filled soccer fest with plenty of highs and lows, knowing league two, more lows than highs!

Decent preseason game ruined by the last quarter subs. The scoreline flattered you a bit John! We made plenty of chances and should have at least a couple up before your first shot. However the equaliser a well taken, well placed shot into the far corner was unstoppable and against the run of play.
The second after break was the goal that sunk us. Then an absolute howler by our wing back. Then with all the subs, a good move and finish to polish the final score.

I just remembered about it and looked at the score. 4-1 winners we did good. We drew with Bolton 1-1 in our last friendly game. Now comes the real thing next Friday night. Bring it on.
 
Bless me the Lionesses won yet again last night. They now go to Wembley to face Germany or France on Sunday. Some people say they played a hell of a lot better than the men.
 
Counting down to the big game on Friday night. 2 days to go. Bring it on. In fact we have another Friday match next week. I suspect that will be 2 televised games in a row. We play Preston in the EFL Cup on Tuesday 9th August.

the trouble with women's football is they all have the same haircut!

I have enjoyed the i improved tactily lionesses performances and the ladies took their chances well.
 
My take on the eve of the new football season.

Rovers will finish top half outside the play offs, we do not have enough firepower (again) for automatic promotion, but we have a habit of sneaking into the play offs. But I worry we cannot afford league one! I predict that Stockport will at least be promoted. But going down will be those clubs that just survived relegation last season. Doncaster play offs.

Man city must be favourites again. Fulham relegation
Burnley must be a good bet. Though the udders must have a shout. Blackpool down.

Hope all our teams get a good start to the season.

Home to Stevenage tomorrow, we will have to be up for it, they have retained many of last seasons good squad and I believe they will be up there again this season.I

Oh dear we lost 0-1 :( Not a good start but onwards to next Friday's game at Birmingham.
Good luck to all teams playing this weekend.
 
Looking forward to the new season, big game for us tonight against WBA. Need a few more players but hopes are high as always at the start of the season. New seat for this season as my lad is now 18 and we had to leave the family zone.
