Is it available yet on nhs in the UK?
There are people on this forum with Libre 3 on the NHS but it is not available to self funded. Is it available yet on nhs in the UK?
Odd isn’t it when it’s starting to be rolled out in Europe and the app will come from Abbott? The biggest issue is there is no reader. You need an up to date phone. And as yet there is no I phone App available in this country.
The biggest issue is there is no reader.
Ah. Thank you for clarifying, that makes sense. It’s to do with the technology involved. You have to scam and read 1 and 2. 3 constantly sends the data to your phone so you can just hold it up. Don’t even have to turn on. The difference between flash and CGM. I take it it would be too costly to produce a reader.
So have abbott got the android Libre3 app available yet?
The announcement yesterday that all type 1s are now eligible for Dexcom if they now want it, may set a rocket under Abbott to make Libre 3 competitive for the NHS or they are going to lose ground.
Had a discussion with Partha on Twitter yesterday and it is available to specialist teams only at the moment.
Also contacted research team I was involved with and there is still no App for I phone. So the one I have sitting invitingly in my medical drawer is still useless and now actually out of date.
Just to clarify, is it Dexcom one that's now available to all type 1's or Dexcom 6?
