I bumped into a door frame and my fre-trial Libre came off after less than 48 hrs wear. I've tried to put it back in again but I'm not sure if that was the right move.
I really wanted to monitor my first two weeks to work out the best diet for me and I'm failing already.
Fed up and frustrated...
I will try a read again in ten minutes but I'm not very hopeful.

Bother. I thought that might be the case. I'll drop them an email.
Thanks

Try putting them somewhere else rather than where recommended ( which is like in comparison to a flea on a dog if you actually look at the area of a human body an£ that’s the only area that works ha I think not ) you can always check with a finger prick if ur unsure I’ve done it for years and my Hb1 ac is fine , diabetes is about finding what works for you after all you and all of us here, have to live with it day after day so try something different if it doesn’t work go back to whatever , i remember when I was told ( many years ago to inject in the same place as where they recommend to put sensor now its not recommended over time things change , maybe I like to be ahead of the curve

Definitely a phone call to them!

And keep the old reader as they (used to) send a return envelope for your faulty one.

Please remember if you place the sensor any where other than Abbotts recommends and you have a problem with the sensor they will not replace it.

I often have placed mine on my chest area but with the knowledge that if it comes of or fails it's probably going to be straight in the bin with it.

I’ve phoned them in those circumstances and they’ve been quick in sending out replacement and haven’t asked for the old one back. It’s happened twice now. Not possible to put back on as only a flexible filament on monitor as the needle that introduces it is chucked with device that inserts it.

I’ve had numerous failed sensors over the years from falling off to just not working and never been asked where I put it, and to be honest would tell them that I put it where it should be , how would they know .my point is of all the area of my body a minute area in relativity is all that is covered in the “” warranty” , and let’s face it if it comes off or fails it’s going in the bin wherever i put it .

And the reason you would not tell them you had placed it somewhere other than the recommended place is because you know that if you did they would not replace it so it is best to be aware of the fact so you do not inadvertently spill the beans on the odd occasion I have had one replaced they have asked for the failed sensor to be returned to them so the old sensor went in the post not the bin.

Whether or not you are asked for the old one back depends on who you talk to some ask for it back some aren't bothered.
