Hi

A 440ml can contains 16.7g of carbohydrates of which 3.1g are sugars.

Is it OK to drink?

Thanks

Andrew

All carbs are equal with regard to diabetes whether they are sugars or not.
However, the way we react to different carbs is a personal thing.
The only way to find out whether the carbs in Guinness Draught 0.0 is suitable for you is to test your blood sugar, drink and test again after 2 hours.
One can is not going to kill you and you will learn whether it is worth drinking again.

Only you can answer that. You know how many carbs you usually eat in a day?

You can test before drinking and two hours after, and see what the impact the 17g of carbs has on your blood glucose. Then you can decide whether or not you should have it again, and how often.

As it's alcohol-free you shouldn't see the lowering of blood glucose levels that often happens after drinking alcohol (due to the effect on the liver).

Ive recently started drinking the Zero Guinness as an alternative to normal Guinness due to an ongoing immunotherapy treatment that any alcohol has an increased impact on the side effects , I find the taste a bit sweeter & generally I notice an increased blood sugar readings the following day,

I'm partial to a zero-zero on a hot summers day. Zero alcohol Lager with zero sugar lemonade (or 7-up in my case). I've not had a chance to test it with CGM - I shall have to do so. Being only half a glass of lager with half zero sugar 7-up, i'm hopeful that it will not affect me much.
