Hi I’m new to the libre 2 system and put my first sensor on yesterday 3am it woke me up saying I was going into hypo mode 3.9 this is unusual so I checked with fingerprick and reading said 11! So I didn’t take anything for hypo and have been doing ok since however noticed blood around the sensor this morning I wear an armband so sensor doesn’t come off as I can get sweaty but noticed blood around the edges. Can I carry on with it? Readings now seem to be ok. Or do I report to freestyle? Any help appreciated also where do I find the serial number as am severely sight impaired I’ve kept the box and sensor ‘bits’ thanks

Hi @atomsandstars, I notice this is your first post so welcome to the forum.
I suspect your 3am ‘low’ was a compression low, Libres are notorious for reading low if you’re lying on it.
Your other concern about the blood I can’t answer as I have never had this happen, though I have had a drop of blood in the centre hole and it didn’t seem to affect the readings adversely.
Regarding the serial numbers, on an iPhone which is what I use, select ’about’ from the menu and you’ll see all the details of your last three sensors.
Hope that helps.

If they seem to be ok now, yes, just carry on!
But if it keeps giving off readings, just give Abbott a call on monday and they'll send you a replacement.

Don't worry, they will talk you through it on the phone, and if you have trouble you can still send the sensor back and they can read the serial number on the sensor itself if they want you to send it back.

Hi,

I sometimes get the odd bleeder. I normally persevere & the sensor settles down.
I agree that any lows during the hours of sleep, could possibly be a misleading “compression low.”
It’s good that you referenced it with your meter.

Are you prescribed any meds for your diabetes , @atomsandstars ?
