Hi @boyobanty , welcome to the forum!

How are you determining your mealtime doses? Do you use fixed doses or are you adjusting them depending on the carbs in your meal?

Welcome to the forums @boyobanty , new T1s often have ahoneymoon period where they produce more insulin and so need less injected insulin.

Also. it's more common for long term T1s to move to a basal/bolus regime where they take a long term basal dose to cope for insulin doses while they are not eating (eg during the night) and then take bolus (short acting) insulin to cover meals while they are awake, These doses vary according to the carbohydrate of the meal.

I think you need to talk to your diabetic team urgently about your doses.

I talked to them few days ago and it’s like they ask me to increase my long acting insulin from 13unit to 14unit which I don’t think it’s the real cause but because I’m very new to this kind of life I think I’m still trying to monitor some things on my diet because I got no diet plan from the diabetic team .

Fixed doses 5unit before each meal
Not all meals need the same amount of insulin.
You need insulin to cover the carbs in your food. So you could a meal having only 5 grams of carbs, and your fixed amount would send you way too low. Or you could have a meal of 150 grams of carbs, and your 5 units wouldn't be nearly enough!

Can it be you've been eating fewer carbs than usual lately?
