Advice please

Please give actual low carb or keto a chance. I know it's hard when there's an eating disorder involved, but maybe we can help find work-arounds? I know I'm a lot worse, depression and suicial-thoughts-wise when my blood sugars are high. It directly affects my state of mind, my moodswings and my will to live.

Hang in there, eh. It can get better than this.
I just have a problem eating high fat foods as it causes digestion problems and in also vegetarian. So it’s very hard. I’m open to suggestions…..but when I lost weight a reversed it the foods I was eating was working well with my body. Obviously I’m not eating well at the moment. All I think in my head is I don’t deserve to eat - sounds silly I know but all this just keeps triggering

Sorry you feel like you do.You have come to the right place here.I am sure others will have been where you are and who knows, maybe they can help. Its good to talk so keep posting.:)
Thankyou. I definitely felt some support here, and didn’t expect it if I’m being honest with regards to mental health on a diabetes forum. I’ve gone on other forums for mental health and got no way near the nice comments. So thankyou everyone

There's nothing silly about this, don't minimise something that's a huge deal to you. If it's crippling, its anything but silly. (And it's not like you're doing it just to be difficult or special... Then it would be silly. But this is real, and it is hard. So. No more of that!) Try to sneak in healthy fats, maybe? Avocado, cheese, nuts... I'm rather partial to (coconut) yoghurt with Purition fibres and chopped nuts in. Not too fatty, but they can keep your bowels moving smoothly and it's filling. Maybe cook with butter, so it's in there but not TOO in noticably there, you know?

You deserve to eat, and you deserve to eat things that make you physically and mentally, feel better. You're worth it. You might not think so, But I do.
HUGS,
Jo

Thankyou so much for your kindness….I’ve spoken to a work friend about this yesterday (I’m glad I’ve told someone I know, almost a relief)….she has a friend who’s a nutritionist who’s offered to help me, who specialises in eating disorders so I’m going to accept the help, got a phone call with her next week.

I can't express how proud I am of you for seeking proper help with this. I know it's difficult, so yay, you!!!!
