This is my sixth year of being a Type 2 Diabetic. (I'm a 65yr old woman, disabled from spinal/pelvic injuries).
1st year was a kind of "shot in the dark" learning the ropes. By 3rd year (more to my own astonishment!) I was in remission! 4th year unremarkable but my spinal trauma gave me increased chronic pain. This year treatment for my spine/pelvic injuries became my main concern & I became depressed again. Eating & drinking properly has taken an extreme back seat. My blood sugars reflect this & yet I still crave the sweet stuff for self soothing & comfort.
How do I find the motivation to treat my diabetes properly when other chronic disabilities overshadow everything else?
Anyone else who goes through this?
How did you get back in track?
