Is your blood glucose high when this happens?Pretty much happens everyday. One minute wide awake the next I'm fast asleep. Somedays I even nod off with a mug of tea in my hand and wake up with soaked trousers.
Does anyone else have this problem.
Good to know it's not just me. I'm not overly bothered by it and to be honest I think my age plays a big part. I'm approaching my mid 60's now.Hello @Lucy59 and welcome to the forum.
Yes, I've lost count of the number of times I've nodded off unintentionally, especially on cold days when coming indoors to a warm room. I've yet to tip a drink over myself, but I've had some near misses!
Sorry clicked the wrong one. I'm type 2.According to your profile you have type 1 diabetes which is treated with diet only.
Is this correct?
Highs don't make me tired but sometimes when i'me going a bit low I feel so sleepy !Is your blood glucose high when this happens?
High BG makes me very drowsy.
Do you test your blood glucose?Good to know it's not just me. I'm not overly bothered by it and to be honest I think my age plays a big part. I'm approaching my mid 60's now.
Sleepyness isn't a low symptom for me, but I don't expect lows are an issue for Lucy59, she's a T2 treated by diet only.Highs don't make me tired but sometimes when i'me going a bit low I feel so sleepy !
I am doing the same.usually about 7pm.was taken off linagliptin a month ago and numbers going up.I put it down to that.Good to know it's not just me. I'm not overly bothered by it and to be honest I think my age plays a big part. I'm approaching my mid 60's now.
Just saying !Do you test your blood glucose?
I would want to rule out high numbers when the dozing off happens.
Glad to see you adjusted your profile to show the correct type, things can get confusing otherwise.
