2023/24 Football Season.

Blasted off the field. 5.0 I had an inclination that we'd lose. I watched the first half hour in my dinner break. I thought we did well and defended good but alas they wore us down. At least we can concentrate on the league now.
 
I made a mistake we have made some signings. Huddersfield Town have signed forward Bojan Radulovic from Finnish champions HJK Helsinki on a three-and-a-half-year deal, for an undisclosed fee. Huddersfield Town have signed midfielder Alex Matos from Premier League side Chelsea until the end of the season.
Huddersfield have recalled right-back Brodie Spencer from Motherwell.

The Championship side have cut short what was intended to be a season-long loan for the 19-year-old Northern Ireland international.
Spencer has thrived in the Scottish Premier League, making 19 appearances and recently captaining the side.

Now I thought I had seen some new names on yesterday's team sheet. Lets hope they do us some good in the league.

Belated Happy New Year to all on this thread. I hope the treats you and yours well.

Last game was at home to Morton, 2-2 with 10 mins to go, we get a lad sent off, muppet, they scored and we lose 2-3.
Not received at all well by the loony fringe.
Away to Inverness Cally tonight. Supporter buses leave Dundee at 15:00, A9... wish them well and a safe journey.

We have had an interesting time with the Rangers media and MSP's screaming blue murder about a pen not given in the recent InFirm game...
they have no idea what it is like to be on the other side of the InFirm and the decisions they get...
It will never change.

Some good news for rovers, we have signed Rob Apter, on loan until end of season. His contribution to our turnaround has been excellent, so glad he's back for tomorrow game v mk franchise.

We missed you @hankjam .

Welcome back. Good luck this weekend in the footy.
 
Home to Plymouth tomorrow afternoon. We need the points or we could we in trouble if Sheff Weds win their game. They play the Saints. Weds have won their last 2 games so just when it looked like they were dead and buried they have come to life and sit just 3 points behind us.

Thanks @hankjam - just spotted that both teams in your fixture are fielding former Cobblers strikers. Billy McKay providing one of my best Cobblers away day moments, scoring against Liverpool before we went on to win on pens - Louis Moult, sadly left less of an impression! Good luck with tonight's game.

Billy McKay certainly works his socks off to good effect... hopefully not tonight. Would take him in a heartbeat, though he seems to be well settled up north.
Moult has scored goals for us but against fairly weak opposition... the jury is still out...
 
Finished up 1-1 draw. Sheffield Weds got thrashed 4-0 so gap now 4 points. Trip to Ewood Park next Saturday to face Blackburn Rovers. Should be an interesting game seeing as Rovers lost 4 of their last 5 games and drew the other. That could go either way.

Blackburn been leaking goals for fun recently...

though there was mention that HTFC top scorer so far was a center back, not sure if that is true.

Good honest assessment. Yes it was very poor but the result was important.
Especially after today's results.

It must be catching cos Rovers were as bad, lost to a really late last kick of the game winner for the franchise.
Two defeats on the trot but not overly concerned if it's a blip. Two away games now.
Swindle next Saturday away.
Need to bounce back. I still think that we are okay, but I don't want that battle of relegation trouble over us.

We thrashed them 3-0 on Boxing day at ours. Not sure about the Top scorer.
