I've just been diagnosed a week ago with medicine induced type 2 diabetes.
I have an auto immune disease and the long term use of steroids has resulted in more complications for me. Trying to come to terms with that and also get an idea how to control my diabetes through diet because I don't want to take more medication if I don't have to. Obviously if lowering my sugars doesn't work through diet alone because of my medication then I'll have to give in and take the medication my doctor has recommended.
Found diabetes UK and it's been really helpful so far. Just trying to wrap my head around it all.

Going for diet-only might be tricky, but it's worth giving it a shot. http://josekalsbeek.blogspot.com/2019/11/the-nutritional-thingy.html and dietdoctor might be good places to start aside from this place's main website, but just keep in mind that the unavoidable continued use of steroids might throw a bit of a spanner in the works... Still, it could well make a difference in what medications you might need, if any, and how much of them.

Good luck!
Jo
