Thomas Tuchel agrees deal to become new England manager

Despite links with Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, England have decided to appoint Tuchel as Southgate's permanent successor.

He will become just the third foreign manager to take charge of the England men’s national team and the first since Fabio Capello departed in 2012.

Tuchel has been out of work since leaving Bayern Munich at the end of last season and despite failing to win a domestic trophy in 2023-24, his reputation remains sky-high, especially in England.

Well lets hope he is good for them. We shall find out on 14th and 17th Novermber. Greece and ROI.
Is starting straight away then?

I seem to be the odd one out as I have been slightly underwhelmed by TT.

Time will tell.

Wow I'm amazed we actually hit the target 3 times. Took 14 shots to do it and 8 of em on target (3-1 winners). And to further help matters all the other results went in our favour so we leap in to 6th place. Away to Wrexham on Tuesday night. If we could win that it would be classed as a 6 pointer and boy oh boy it would be fantastic. You don't know how much that would mean to all us fans. Watch this space lol. I'm not quite sure what's happened but we have 3 wins on the trot if you count the demolision of Barnsley twice.

I wonder how Tranmere will do under new ownership.
Hi mate,
The problem that Rovers have had since covid, is the ability to attract the quality of players who would make the club competitive to return to league one.
The budget is the cause of treading water.
And it's only by, there being other clubs that are struggling, has prevented a return to the National league.
In its present form and locale, there is not enough off the field income to offset the losses incurred annually.
There has been many wrong decisions, made by the current owners, which having helped, and very little investment, plus the incumbents have not got deep pockets and have been up for sale for ever (ish)

I want my club to be competitive and if that means it's the Yanks and they have proper investment, to give us a chance then so be it.
If it doesn't go through, the club will most probably eventually drop down and become insolvent or some such thing. Which will be awful. And I can't see it ever bouncing back.

Oh man my heart was in my mouth towards the end. We pulled off a draw and wow we had chances and missed them. Still a point against 2nd place is blooming marvellous. Just a shame that Charlton bagged a late winner to snatch 5th place from us. Oh well next stop a Home tie with Exeter on Saturday. If we can at least do the same and pull off a draw that would be smashing.

Got beat by a single goal at home to the Grim fishy people.
It is defo grim at PP now.

Away to 2nd p!ace Crewe on Saturday.
We're gonna smash em.
