Haven't seen a dr.

Being told i can no longer eat my favourite food
I got diagnosed that i was on the cusp of type2 through a routine blood test from arthritis 2 months ago. I think i am as getting some symptoms. The dr. Phoned me to say that they wont do anything until i have my next test in a months time. I have had no advice or any other communication about it.
Is that normal? Everything i know is from google , that has a lot of conflictions, and from this forum. Also bought a book that had a claim that was debunked by this forum, so don't trust the book any more.
I am so out of my depth in all of this

In the UK they normally take 2 HbA1C tests about 1 month apart if an initial test shows results around 48 (the diabetes level).
Also, despite thousands of Type 2 diabetics getting into remission from just changing to a low carb way of eating, many/most doctors still think T2 Diabetes is progressive needing more and stronger medication as time goes by.

I'm 5yrs in remission having avoided needing any diabetes medication whatsoever.
 
Can you say what symptoms you are experiencing?
Anything ending in "itis" means inflammation, and the body will react to that by raising blood glucose (to fight that inflammation) - so there may be a connection there.

We all feel out of our depth... all of this just gets deeper the further you look ... but there really is a whole lot more you can do for yourself than many have been led to believe.

Mainly itching below the knees. Sometimes my eyes are red and sometimes dry A crusty build up inside my nostril. Maybe coincidence, but never had any of those before.
It is encouraging seeing that there is a lot we can do. I know i have to change somethings, but i do lapse on ocassion
