2024/25 Football Season

Lost to the Buddies...

Final game of season, at home to The Dons.
They took the lead and as usual didn't hang on to it, with two goals giving us the win and forth place, swapping places with Aberdeen.
Qualifies us for Europe, though given the number of players leaving and qualifiers starting in July we are unlikely to have a bedded in team by then.

Dundee won 2-0 away and so were safe.
They fired their manager the next day. No team came close to giving away so many goals as the Dees, 77!!!

Another interesting stat
All but one club committed 5 fouls per booking, give or take a fraction of 5.

Celtic got a booking every 10.4 fouls!!
Very odd.

Celtic Aberdeen Scottish Cup final on Saturday.
Sheep have no chance.

Southend. Even after the disaster they have bounced back. Won after penalties.
That should be a good one Oldham v Southend. I'd like to see Oldham seeing as they are a Northern team win that one. If I was a gambling man which I aint I'd put money on Sheff Utd, Charlton and Walsall to win and get promoted.

Prem plays to a finish this weekend. Man Utd have had a diabolical season and what a shame they didn't get relegated lol.

It has to be Oldham.
For my own personal reasons.
so many of my ex colleagues there.
and it would be great to see them at PP again.

Sunderland are promoted to the Prem for the first time since 2017. Bit gutted that Sheff Utd didn't make. I bet they are sickened especially as that goal was disallowed. Meanwhile up in Scotland Aberdeen and Celtic have gone in to ET.
Tomorrow it's the League one play offs.

BBC Scotland doesn't really know how to handle a non Old Firm win, especially when one of them are the losing side. Awful coverage.

Great for Aberdeen, not so good for Hibs and United as they get bumped down in the Europe competitions. Aberdeen replace HIbs in the automatic league stage.

Rangers still struggling to find a manager...

Yeah we are still to appoint a manager. Some people speculated about Wayne Rooney but I really hope we don't get sadly with that plonker.

Huddersfield Town have appointed Lee Grant as their new manager on a three-year deal. The 42-year-old joins from Ipswich Town, where he was first-team coach for the past three years.

The former goalkeeper has taken on his first managerial role with the Terriers, having joined the Tractor Boys’ coaching setup following his retirement from playing.

At last we have a new manager. Let's hope he does us some good and hopefully over the summer we'll have some new signings.

Oldham return to the League football. That wraps up this seasons footy. New forum will begin when the fixtures come out later this Month. Have a great Summer every and take good care.

Cheers mate.
I am so pleased for my former colleagues who were at Wembley today. And just shows what a great manager MM is.
What is the betting that we will play them first game of the season?
