I started taking Diabeton as a supliment and have just found out gliclozide is in it also talcum powder coating the tablet I have emailed the firm to see if this be dangerous for me and am waiting for a reply. Anyone else know or are taking this suppliment as well?

Has this been prescribed for you, @PatsyB? I see from your profile you have a lot of other medications. So it is always wise to seek advice from GP or pharmacist if taking supplements to what is already prescribed.

Contacting the supplier of medicine, that hasn’t been prescribed is unliklely to get you an unbiased response.

There are two things called Diabeton (/Diabetone), a quick google showed me... One is a supplement with vitamins which would be available over the counter, the other is a brandname for gliclazide and thus not a supplement but a medication requiring a doc's signature... Very strange that two completely different things can have such similar names! Hope this helps...

I recall my parents using talk liberally after we had a bath. I know it has now been found to be dangerous if inhaled. I was unsure if it is questionable when digested. As an aside I always have to ask the pharmacy to check any new oral prescriptions for gluten. I am sure anyone with food allergies has to do the same. Pharmacies seem more than happy to check pill ingredients.

Not been told to take this supliment but was told to take vit D and Vit C this supliment has both in it so thought it be a good thing to take , I must admit it does seem to help lower the levels but unsure if Diabetic Nurse would say take.
