No I tried to bolus & it came up zero - that small amount of insulin is because I have for a cup of tea (oat milk)I'd be guessing that it may be a combination of your insulin time and your correction factor.or just that Smart Guard is just not on, or there are some very weird settings on there
If you try to give a bolus - does it show any adjustment at all?
Insulin Sensitivity Factor is not taken into account when you are in SmartGuard. It does it's own calculations every 24 hours to work out what it should be rather than using the ones set in delivery settings.Do you know what the correction factor is set to - its named 'Insulin Sensitivity Factor' in the 'Delivery settings'
I'd check that this is somewhere near what it should be for you and not set to something ridiculously large
If you dont know what its meant to be then dont just guess, not sure how much experience you have in working out that kind of stuff - if not much then you probably want to talk to your DN
That’s interesting- I was told to turn smart guard off (5 seconds) do a BM- then re calibrate the pump! I also agree is it that the pump doesn’t offer anymore corrections as it doesn’t want you to go into hypo!! Just frustrating - I noticed also that this had happened overnight a few nights agoInsulin Sensitivity Factor is not taken into account when you are in SmartGuard. @Sasha1! I've found that when I'm high for a prolonged period of time, the pump will eventually stop giving corrections, I'm not entirely sure why that is, whether it's because it's reached a max amount it can give for the day or doesn't want to stack too much insulin.. if you're still high after a couple of hours I'd do a manual BG check and input that into the pump - you should then be able to press the down arrow and it should suggest giving more insulin as a 'manual' correction if you don't have insulin on board already. That should also 'reset' the pump and it should continue to give its own corrections after that
