"What have you eaten" Parallel Chat

Early breakfast today (6.30) trying to fast for about 12 hours - an experiment. It was bacon and eggs. BG far too high, so with any luck it should come down eventually. I did have a cup of tea, but for the rest of the day it will just be water (so not a complete nothing-past-my-lips fast). I do need to keep up the hydration level.

2nd meal will be about 7 pm and will be a stir fry with pork and veggie bits and pieces.

Usual porridge for breakfast, tuna salad for lunch and chicken with broad beans and a few chips for tea.

I did a bit more tidying and made a decision on a piece of furniture that I inherited. It's in the car waiting to go to the charity shop!

Porridge for breakfast, ran some errands, sausage and cheesy beans for lunch and pizza for tea (takeaway, didn't eat much of the base or crust).

I'm making some real progress with the living room so hopefully I'll get more done tomorrow.

@DJC3 and @shelley262 , taking it here as to not take the main thread off topic.
You both use Panda flour, and the things (bread!) you make with it look amazing.
Can it only be bought online or is it sold in stores? A friend will be visiting the UK after the summer so I could ask her to bring me some, if you can buy it in an actual store.

Breakfast: 2 fried eggs and a fritter. Tea.
2nd meal will be pea soup and some salad with chicken.

On the advice of the hospital pharmacist (agreed by a GP) I have been cutting down on Esomeprazole, first from 2 to 1, then 1 every 2nd day, then one every 3rd day. Today was an Esomeprazole day and now I have heartburn, which is a very rare thing for me. Wonder if that is because I took the Esomeprazole having allowed my stomach to get used to not having it. Maybe something to do with my breakfast, of course. Plenty of water should deal with it though.

Hiya Panda Flour is only sold online at the moment from the company Panda pantry. It's a couple of people who run a small business in the midlands mixing and increasingly grinding seeds - like linseed for the golden flour. Will ask them later if they do post outside UK or expansion plans think they supplied Deliciously Guilt Free for their cakes but DGF no longer bake. Will send an enquiry later as in a rush off out for the day in a few mins!

Porridge for breakfast, chicken salad for lunch and a peanut butter sandwich for tea. Some chocolate also today, so not a low carb day at all.

A little more tidying, just moving things around really but at least I'm not still totally ignoring it all!

I had a nice surprise yesterday, I decided to recycle the compost in the potato tubs and forgot that two of them still hadn't been harvested. I didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised to get about two supermarket bags worth of baby salad potatoes! Only a couple of them were frost damaged and a few were too teeny tiny. I've just had a couple of them cooked and cooled with a chicken salad for lunch and they were a real treat!

Breakfast was the usual porridge, lunch chicken salad with two baby salad potatoes cooked and cooled, and tea will be cheesy beans and sprouting broccoli from the garden.

I was a bit slow in the spring onion department, so I need to sow some quickly to get them growing some nice greens which I am now a bit addicted to. I'm using the greens from the ones I planted in the summer which were a bit disappointing as a whole salad onion, but the greens are just gorgeous especially at the moment, they taste of spring! Also on the to do list is beetroot.

I wonder if this is a false spring, and we'll end up with some frosts before the end of May. I have plenty of options for covering plants or using the polytunnel though, so I think most of the lettuce and rocket can go outside pretty soon.

I've had a response from Mark at Panda Pantry. They only sell online in the UK atm. They tried delivery in the EU but had issues with customs adding charges - one parcel got £21 added in customs duties - so he's reviewing this but will probably be at least a year before he mails to EU.
Edited I've direct messaged you - to make sure I comply with forum rules.

Thank you @shelley262 that's such a kind offer!
Those puffets look very good. :hungry:

Tomorrow (well, almost today) will be my birthday, so today I spent a ridiculous amount of money on food and booze.
It was a lovely spring day so I started with a short swim, first time this year without my neoprene socks and gloves, wearing nothing but my Libre sensor.

I then picked up new tenant Andries and another friend to go buy food for the party, and we had a very happy afternoon with the three of us. The weather makes such a big difference in everyones mood!

I completely forgot I needed to buy food for today as well but I think I bought enough food for the party to last me a week after that and made myself a very nice meal of 3 chipolata sausages, a handful of kalamata olives, some wakame, a little kimchi and two sweet spicy peppers with cream cheese. :joyful:

It 20 minutes to midnight, Thursday. Almost your birthday Antje. So have a very happy day with your friends and here's to many more such days in future (many happy returns as we say in this country).

It'll be more pea soup for me for breakfast. I'll think about the rest tomorrow. Nothing festive though, but enjoy your festivities and I'll think about you enjoying it all.

Thank you @Annb !
I'm an hour ahead of you so It has been my birthday for an hour already!
I think I'll stick to your time at the end of the day, giving me an extra hour of birthday. :hilarious:

I'll send a picture of the party!

A very happy birthday to you @Antje77, may all good things come to you and all happiness be yours! xx

Breakfast: pea soup with another dumpling. Tea. Didn't actually finish the bowl of soup - just didn't fancy it.

2nd meal will be pork sausages, defrosted mash and onions. Will make a sausage casserole with the rest of the packet, for later in the week.

Just phoned my GP surgery to find out if the result of my chest XRay is back. Apparently it came in this morning and the GP has seen it and said it is the same as the previous one, which showed fluid on my lungs. He hasn't suggested any further treatment though. I'll need to try to get an appointment next week and see where we go from here.
