The term "big boned" lol repeatedly told this growing up!
I've just found out aubergines do not agree with my bs - horrendous reading!

That's very odd.
Can it have been a faulty reading or something else that happened?
Doubt it to be honest but they did taste weirdly sweet! Romany lettuce and courgettes taste sweet now too, think my taste buds have changed after going keto. I have been off colour lately so it may have been that. I will test again but I dont want to sabotage my readings at the moment :hilarious:

Aubergines have 6.2g carbs per 100g which made them moderately low in carbs. Also it may be just that aubergines cause a higher level in bgs for you. We all react differently to different foods, I usually keep away from aubergines.

The Diet Doctor website quotes aubergine as 3g per 100g, low carb in my book. You'd have to eat quite a bit. What were your actual readings? You may just have had a rogue result. They do happen. I'd suggest retesting before coming to any firm conclusions.

I suspect the unreferenced value referred to above is from a US source and therefore includes indigestible fibre. It's always important to know what you're basing statements on.

Apologies. I normally quote net carbs but slipped up for some reason. Yes, aubergines are around 3g/100g which make them good for a low/very low carb diet.
