I had no real reason to disappear when I did, this place had been a wonderful crutch to my successful remission.
About 3 years I disengaged entirely from all T2 discussion, I think I'd become obsessed with the whole thing.
Not only did I leave fora, I completely stopped taking glucose readings & getting lab bloods drawn.
Perhaps it's what people refer to as burnout in the whole process.
So without my radar up I reverted to old habits, carbs were upped, weight crept back on.
I suppose there is a shame in admitting failure, especially since I'd managed to achieve full remission & probably offered hope to some recently diagnosed.
Finally after badgering from my good lady wife I conceded to go for a check up & get bloods drawn, that happen last Thursday.
Received the phone call yesterday, amazingly my A1c has only crept up to 36, all other markers are in range too.
I have to say I may have punched the air once receiving the news, then who to tell, well there is only one place to go.
Hello again.
