Litter, other things too but to many to mention at the moment.
I became diabetic in November after a liver transplant. The steroids I am on have caused this. I am on Humulog 3 x per day and lantus at night. My humulog units are between 26 to 30 each time and Lantus is 10. Is this ok? My dsn has said its ok to eat what I want as mines different and will go when staroids go down but some Drs say I will stay diabetic. Also I can work out some of the abbreviations but not all and what are bolus?and the other one beginning with b. Not at all explained to me. I am know trying to cut carbs to 50 a meal including snacks. Is anyone else the same as me. I have been told I am type 2. Thank you

Hi. You are on a Basal/Bolus regime with Lantus (Basal) and Humalog (Bolus). Are you carb-counting your Bolus i.e. matching the insulin units to what you are eating rather than matching the carbs to a fixed Bolus injection; I think the former? Yes, steroids are a problem and as and when you stop them it should relieve the diabetes. I agree you are best putting some control on the carbs to avoid weight gain and high blood sugar swings

Hi thank you. Yes I am trying to match my insulin to what I am about to eat seems to be ok but then I get highs or lows for no reason. Also they keep changing the antirejection/steroids so this is confusing me too. Getting there slowly and I keep reading all the links which I have found very useful.
