Why does LCHF feel like another term for axe murderer?

I had this same problem . I had never been ill in my life until I had a stroke 3 yrs ago and was diagnosed with type 2 even though not overweight and thought I led a healthy lifestyle . This was the first meeting with my gp after being on the register for 8 yrs,. He didn't have a clue about diabetes and never sent me for any of the annual checks. It's only from being on this forum I realized that I was missing out on appropriate treatment . I changed doctors and it's like a dark cloud has lifted off me . My new doctor actually listens and has sent me for all the tests and I have glaucoma in both eyes which would have gone untreated if I had not changed doctors. Don't be afraid to change it's the best thing I have done with regard to my diabetes

You don't say whether this is with your diabetes specialist team under the hospital or with your GP practice. Either way you don't have to put up with this kind of care, you can switch GP and or specialists. You don't have to put up with it, I can't stress this enough. If you had a plumber giving you a bad time he would probably end up on Watchdog and you wouldn't use them again. Drs are no different. Some are good some are not. Don't settle for those that aren't good.

:D Diabetics have been known to use the "temporary insanity" plea due to 'spikes" or "hypos", in court.

I teach some really annoying 15-16 year olds at the moment - do you think I could get away with this - Rofl!
