Crowds of people, my idea of hell would be a huge gathering of any sort!

Heights, scare me to death!
Liars, cheats. poseurs, any kind of violence, thieves and people who take advantage of others.

The way the world is going to hell in a handbasket.

Global warming, the melting ice caps, whaling..I mean what for?!

Cruelty

Having to give up my eat everything philosophy..and I really really dislike consequences.
We were watching the wonderful Morecombe and Wise last night and this came up. I have always said that if I was in a coma, just play me this and I would come right out of it! It's my favourite funny sketch of all time :D

I wonder, do you have one?

The sketch where they are making breakfast in the kitchen was hilarious, these two together with Tommy Cooper were my Dad's favourites :D

btw popsy, did you see the documentary last year where Miranda Hart retraced the footsteps of Morecombe and Wise? Miranda says it was them which inspired her to become a comedian.

No I haven't seen that Noblehead, mind you it takes forever for decent stuff to filter all the way down here. We are severely 'decent humour challenged!' in NZ. It will probably get here eventually, I will look for it, thanks. Love Miranda Hart too, she's in a class of her own

Morecombe and Wise were part of my growing up, innocent humour that has always made me laugh out loud :D

They only have to walk out from behind the curtains to make me laugh and the catch in the paper bag is funny no matter how many times you see it They dont make em like this any more!

ive sat here for such a long time trying to decide my absolute favourite sketch but there are just too may and it would be disrespectful to the others to mention just one, the two ronnies, monty python, not the nine oclock news, tommy cooper, the list is endless, but this takes some beating imo

sorry to bounce in on your thread with this but i just saw it and it made me smile, just not enough for a new thread hehe, hope you dont mind]

Andy feel free to bounce my threads any time you like if this is the kind of thing you bounce with! Know what? That made me cry, so much I had forgotten but so much that made me joyful at the time. Wow!! What an era :joyful:

Hah, Dave Allen before he got too blue for me. Just classic stuff :D

Dave Allan was a Butlins Redcoat like I was. I met loads of top comics as a Red and also in the 28 years as a singer/ comic myself. Too many to list but as someone said they don't make like that anymore.

You were a Red Coat? I have fond memories of Butlins, had some grand times there! And yes, I do believe that many talented people got a start there. :D

I didn't realise you lived in NZ popsy, but agree M & W was innocent humour and highly entertaining :)

Not often I feel glad to be old but I am glad I didnt miss out on that lot (most of it anyway)

Just thought about this one and how could I have forgotten it!

I love the Bouncing Song from Not The Nine O'Clock News too but it's a bit rude. I sing along with it, loudly, but don't do much bouncing these days, far too much moves! :hilarious:
