Nurse visit today

Well been for my asthma check up today everything fine. Then got talking about my last blood test for my diabetes and about my check up in April along with my feet and eyes. Was told my level had gone down form 78 to 52 on last blood test done what dose this mean.

Your Hba1c has gone down from 78 to 52 which is a great reduction, in old figures (%) that's 6.9.

Hi. 6.9% is quite good but if possible try to get it nearer to 6.0% if you can by means of carb reduction or meds (or both). Well done for the reduction so far

Getting better

I have nurse appointment on June 10 to discus my results from yearly check. Cholesterol down from 5.5 to 3.5 my blood pressure always fine no problem there. Very pleased about my reduction on HBA1C to 44. I wonder if they will reduce my tablets currently on 2 x 200mg daily metaformin and 1 40mg simvastatin nightly.
