"A new you in 42"

Well, I let the side down a bit today with no cycle or run. Starving hungry at 6pm I thought about you guys and pulled myself together to go for a hearty stomp with the dogs down to the river.
Got to see a dipper which I was chuffed with!
Came back up a deer path in the wood huffing and puffing through undergrowth, and practically on my hands an knees stooping under low branches.
Returned red in the face, but very pleased with myself and grateful to have you lot encouraging me to get my backside in gear!x:happy:

Persistent drizzle at lunchtime was not suitable for a long walk so I had to settle for 35 minutes today.
Good enough Julifriend.despite rain still piut in spare 5 mins.
Aren't we allowed to bank extra time?

Zero today feeling pretty sorry for myself, had the cysoscopy thingy, it was awful, id have to be dying to do that again
Ewww Andy12345. Hope you are soon well enough to join in.
You must have minutes to spare for at least a few days after all that cycling and walking last weekend.
Take it easy til you feel better.
I'm guessing you don't want me to start a chain of virtual huggy mushy stuff? But be well soon.
Pipp

Sorry but it peed it down all day and we had visitors! No exercise today :(

Ace, well done. That is the power of this thread. I don't dare to start slacking. I'd be too ashamed to come on and tell you I had done nowt, and I couldn't lie to you all by pretending.

Went to Cragside. Walked round garden and house for two hours. And I'm sure my frisson of annoyance directed at the couples trailing very small and bored children round a Victorian mansion burnt a few extra calories off.

I love Cragside. If it was sunny would be a lovely walk

I actually prefer walking in rain. Just as well as I live in Cumbria! The woodlands looked lovely and smelt all mossy and fresh.

Watch out for the Warwick Bridge speed trap near Carlisle ....least said the better lol

Mr Ethyl was "trapped" doing 34 at 1.30 am by it coming home from gig at Metro Arena. He took the speed awareness course option.

Haha so did I.
It is a trap . Difficult to tell because it keeps changing all the time.
I enjoyed the course though
