Hi. When counting calories you can offset those used exercising. Is there a way to do that when counting carbs. I am getting confused I think.

Have a look on fitnesspal or myfatsecret. You can input what you have eaten and what exercise you have done. Both good on the web and both have apps.

Well carbs contain calories so you already doing that anyway, or have I got it wrong what you are asking

When I run I use up calories which are discounted on my fitness pal. But when I am counting carbs I don't know how to discount any for running. I am not sure if this is clear. I am struggling on low carbs and looking to see if I can discount any for running. I am rambling. Soz.

Hi there figgywiggy,
Depending on how hard you are exercising, you can burn through up to 60g carb per hour (it varies though depending to your weight, height and your own personal make up). If you take a look at the runsweet website, you should be able to find more info on carb loading: www.runsweet.com
Hoping that's what you're looking for.

Thank you. I will look straight away. I do about an hour a day. Maybe a bit longer one weekend day.

I am a new user to myfitnesspal. I noticed yesterday that when I input my exercise for the day, it "added" more carbs I could have had (but I was already finished eating). Hope that made sense. :)

That's great figgywiggy,
You may like to also take a look at the a TeamBG website, just to be sure you know how exercise affects blood sugar levels. www.teambloodglucose.com

I will have a look at that. Haven't noticed it before. Thank you.
