I am having enormous problems managing my diabetes. Serious symptoms which may be cause or effect. Many hypos. Many high bg readings as well. Don't know what to do and getting quite depressed. Injecting hurts a lot. Have sent for a carbs book recommended by a member. Never had help with management even though diagnosed 12 years ago. Can anyone suggest tips on these problems to help me control better?

Hi Splodge, my best advice would be to keep a detailed diary for a week or so. Record all BG readings, carbs, insulin taken, exercise etc. You need to go back to basics. Do you carb count ? What is your diet like ? BG levels ?

I think I will do this. Never heard of carb counting till this week. Diet is not brilliant but I'm getting a book to help me. My bg levels fluctuate from 3.2 when I have a hypo to 22.7. Generally though they're around 10 and my latest blood test was 75 or 9.
