Hiya my name martin and i have come on here for help. I have type 1 and had it for 11 years. But still struggling.

Everything. Im very moody all the time, ask the wife. I fall asleep all the time. And when i have been writing my sugars down its been ok but i cant seem to be keeping on top of writing them down all the time.

What are your BG levels like ? Those symptoms sound similar to what I get when they run a little high. As for writing down all your readings, there are lots of apps out there now that are suitable for this. However, it's not that important to write every reading down ? Some people only record readings occasionally, some never at all whilst other produce graphs and record absolutely everything ! If your levels are not stable and on target, it's a good idea to at least record them for a while to see if your meds need adjusting. Have you attended a DAFNE course ? They can offer some great tips/advice.

My clinc wanted me to go on a dafne course but i refused because i had to take a week out of works holidays. And i said no. What does BG stand for? And is the sleeping and moodyness down to high BS?

Sorry, BG is blood glucose. I'm not saying for sure why you're tired, just saying that tiredness is a classic sign of high BG levels. That's a shame your work wanted to make you take time off for DAFNE. Have you explained to then the advantage of attending this course ?

Yes my personnel manager is diabetic too but it stands. I doesnt matter ill fine a different way. Thanxs for the advice finding it helpful.

Martin, there's an on-line carb counting course similar to the DAFNE teachings, you do have to register first but by all accounts it's very worthwhile:
