Any video gamers around?

Hey all!

BlindFaith has inspired me to ask everyone else - do any of you play video games at all?

Admittedly, I don't find much time for it these days, but I've been an avid World of Warcraft player since 2006. I grew up playing games on a regular basis and still remember playing Tetris for the first time!
 
Both myself and hubby are gamers :D

I got into gaming when my Dad bought me an Amiga CD 32-bit (I think I was about 9 or 10).
I played Simon the Sorcerer (and loved it, Chris Barrie cracks me up), Flink (which everyone swears I made up because nobody can find proof this game existed anywhere!), Oscar, Fire and Ice and a really weird, surreal game that I don't remember the name of.
I also used to PC game with parents when I was around the same age and played the Kings Quest series, as well as The Colonels Bequest.
I have also played the Baldurs Gate series and Phantasmagoria 1 and 2.


Now I play Xbox and PC games:
Xbox - Mass Effect 2 (waiting to play 3), Dragon Age II (and all the DLC), Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2, Rock Band, Borderlands, Borderlands 2, Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing and I've also tried Skyrim, Risen, Fallout New Vegas (my hubby loves the Fallout games) and the Final Fantasy series.

PC - Baldurs Gate, Baldurs Gate II and their expansion packs and Dragon Age II with all the DLC.

When I PC game, I record the in game cutscenes using Fraps as I also create fan videos.
Gaming is a fairly big part of me (and hubby too, which is great!) and has inspired me to write fan fiction as well.

Yeah...I'm a huge geek... :lol: :lol:
 
You are a huge geek indeed, but it's a great thing! The friends I've made through gaming have been fantastic. Interested to know, have you played Mass Effect 3? It was awesome. You have a fantastic taste in games, RPGs are the best :clap:

I don't but kids do, since Fifa 13 came out 2 weeks today I've never seen them :(
 
Not a gamer myself, but have a Mass Effect 3 addicted partner. Not to mention the Total War series, Starcraft, the Witcher, Deus Ex, the Civilization series, and the list goes on and on and on. No World of Warcraft though - He's an old school Ultima Online player.

Ohhh dear, the Fifa curse! So relieved my boyfriend isn't a football fan or I wouldn't have seen him for the past fortnight! :lol:

Sounds like you've got a keeper there! Civ, Mass Effect and Starcraft are amazing! Don't get your partner started down the path of WoW... you might never reclaim them :lol:

Thank you :D I've not played it yet as I'd heard some pretty bad things about the ending...Is it as bad as it's made out to be?
I love RPGs, I'm addicted to Dragon Age 2...I started playing it last June when I fractured my toes and have completed it well over 20 times since...which most people think is a bit sad but I don't care, lol

I am a big gamer.

PC, SOF 1, 2 and 3, COD all series, cannot wait for MW3. Medal Honour series, and lots of other 1st persons.

PS3, GTA series, hope GTA5 out soon. Too many games to remember.
 
I love gaming!! I love the Final Fantasy series, including 14. I am of course the healer (White Mage) lol, my other half is usually the tank and we work well as a team :)... The Civ's are amazing and I have been known to get so into the game that I look at the clock and I have been up all night playing it! Titanfall can make me rage but is still rather fun. I am terrible in the titans so usually just let them do their own thing.
Battlefield I am usually the medic, in any game really if there is a healer I am always it... really annoyed as everytime I play the hardline beta my PC crashes :(
I have played some counterstrike but I am terrible at it!! So don't play that much :) Argh there are just too many! I have really been enjoying Nosgoth though.
The most annoying game I have ever played is the impossible game, way too addictive and so very annoying.:banghead: I say this, but there are prob a lot more that I have just blocked from my memory haha.
 
Also I forgot to mention this, my other half and his mates are all gamers and have been for years but none of them have heard of a game called Star Ocean which I thought was crazy as I loved this game! I still have it and play it :)

I've also been playing a lot of FFXIV! Working on MNK at the moment :D
 
I think the last game I played was Tetris on my son's game boy. Totally gutted when it died on me.
 
A game of pool on Miniclip is about my limit.
