Bygone days ....

Now I watched Doctor Who on my own....thank goodness, or I would never have seen any of it

Space Patrol with Galasphere 347, Yobba rays, Martian sausages and those weirdos on Neptune.

Cannon ball.
Loved this when I was a kid.

Unfortunately Master Bates, Seaman Staines and Roger the Cabin Boy are only myths - albeit persistent ones!

Torchy and Four Feather Falls were early Gerry Anderson productions weren't they? Then Supercar, Fireball XL5 before the more famous ones.

Play for Today, Out of the Unknown, TW3?
I know this but it still sounds rude! More innuendo than a carry on film! Oo er Matron!

Never heard of this one!
A tv series that made truck driving appear not just interesting but romantic and adventurous ... it isn't.
It's an extremely boring job best suited to loners and trapist monks.
Seen one motorway you';ve seen them all.
Seen one loading bay you've seen them all.
It does get exciting for brief moments when you get to flash your lights at another bored trucker!

Still would be grounds for excommunication in my eyes. My dad voted for Cameron with a small "c" in the last election and I nearly disowned him. I have warned my kids that if they ever vote Tory we will disinherit them!!!!!

Gives me a warm glow seeing democracy at its finest :)

Some of these programmes were before my time, but I remember Captain Pugwash well, can't believe no-ones mentioned -

The Clangers
The Moomins
Fingerbobs
Pipkins
Ludwig
Jamie & The Magic Torch
How
Tiswas
Why Don't You
Heidi
Casey Jones
Champion The Wonder Horse
Black Beauty
Playschool
Mary, Mungo & Midge
Will O' The Wisp

What? No, I didn't watch much telly when I was a kid!!

And I see your white dog poo and raise you cat poo in the sand pit......

What about 'the Littlest Hobo'?

The precocious child that I was I wrote a letter to ITV, explaining it should be 'The Smallest Hobo'.
Never did get a reply.

And of course; Lassie, Flipper, Skippy The Bush Kangaroo, Space 1999, Buck Rogers, The Dukes Of Hazard, The A Team, The Six Million Dollar Man, The Fall Guy

My hubbie has traumatic memories of cat poo in the sand pit. Apparently it's a classic! And yes, I watched all of those programmes too!

Casey Jones!

Beverley Hillbillys!
Yes! It's Casey at the throttle of the Cannonball Express'. That was a train though.

I always wanted a 'ceement pond in the garden like Jethro'.

And SWAP SHOP!!! I can still remember the number - 01 811 8055 (I think)

Granny had a great green 'dining table' with 'pushers'

Haha, we must be around the same age.

I was a bit old for it but rushed home from school to watch Wacky Races. I loved Muttley.
loved Tom and Jerry too.

Sometimes when I got home my Mum would be watching Peyton Place.
