Room 101 (like the TV prog)

So how is everyone?
I'm feeling MUCH better. Virus beating a hasty retreat.

But I nominate fleas for 101

Either the cat or the dog have brought them in (I suspect the cat, he is generous that way) and so I treated both beasties, felt pleased and forgot about it.

A week later, we still have them. Not on humans, not anywhere visible, but the dog is still scratching - which means he is picking them up somewhere. And since he is treated with a long lasting treatment any passenger that hops on will be dead in 4-12 hours. But they just keep coming. Poor little sod.

My mother had an excellent suggestion - steam!
So I expect my weekend will be steam cleaning - carpets, skirting boards, under furniture...

O joy.

I'm back after a long day!

Can I recommend adverts for the simple reason I like to watch a programme and not the ads! Also include the constant promos for the programmes and shows that the channels are due to air. It really does get on my .........?!

Oh yes.
Unless this is room 101, and for eternity you are stuck with just me for company.

So, how are you now after your eventful week?

Am glad to be out of hospital. Pretty much over DKA although still having nightmare sugars and some ketones. Normally take around 10 units of novorapid a day for my regular diet, am currently on about 25. Keep on testing and pumping in extra. If it goes into single figures I give a little cheer. Ankle hurts like a b****. Have a stupid plastic boot thing round the bandaging and it feels like I'm being stabbed in the leg every way I try to lay it. Makes getting more than 4 hours sleep a night difficult.

Other than that lot I'm a very happy camper ;)

OMG I'm such a wingebag maybe someone did put me in room101 without me realising :)

Am I counted as one of the ladies now that I have vented on this thread?

@Brunneria , are you trapped in 101?

Do you need to be rescued?
Me? In 101?
:wideyed:
Is that even possible?

Actually, it's @Heathenlass I'm worried about.

Haven't heard from her since she was preparing her equipment for the foray into The Room.
I hope she didn't go in and forget her ball of string to find her way back out :woot:

She should have waited for back up!

I could have done something! Fetched more ironic popcorn! Waved from the safety of my sofa! Made encouraging noises!
Something!

Why didn't one of you stop her? Or go in with her!

Some friends you are.:sour:

On the plus side - I have laid out on my sofa all day and had my step kids waiting on me and doing the washing up etc. they and my 7 yr old have been brilliant

I nominate cold callers who ring my doorbell right in the middle of my dinner, ignoring the sign that tells them not to.

I offered to arm my crutches and go in with her but no response..........

Maybe an honorary lady, provided you keep up the hard work!

@MrsB
Ow ow ow! That sounds awful. Haven't they given you morphine? Or heroin? Or something? Clearly you need more of whatever they HAVE given you.

Just paracetamol at the moment. Think the codeine helped cause the puking in the first place. Might be willing to try a lower dose tho cos paracetamol is not cutting it anymore

Nah, I'm back .
With a nomination.
High Street chains of womens wear that do not stock a half way decent plain black skirt. That is not zebra striped lycra. Or itchy polyester. And doesn't cost the annual budget of a small country to buy and it's not bloody worth it cos having a fancy smantczy label does not justify it or hide the fact that it's made in the same sweatshop as Primark. Who also don't have one decent skirt:banghead:

A skirt!?! You had me frothing with worry into my popcorn while you went shopping!

Pah!

Oh, OK then, Skirtless Highstreet Chains can go in.

Also all forms of animal print, with a special circle of Hell reserved for polyester animal print.

Yes fleas in. Did your mother mean you should steam the dog?
