How many times do you happen hypoglicemia a week?

that sounds too many, do you have a good dr/nurse helping you? I would see your Dr and get your doses checked
I don't know if Turkey uses EU or USA blood glucose numbers on their home meters

Most T1 here will suggest you start with a basal check

That is a lot hypo's in a week, which insulins do you use so we can advise further?

Bloody loads but I'm back at work after six weeks off so I need to adjust a bit I think. Doctor thinks HBA1C is too low and one dsn said at that level with possible onset of complications it's a higher risk of mortality. Another dsn said that at that level I'm minimising the risk of complications :/

Hi,

With a hypo score like that, my D nurse & Doc would just say i "risk the chance of loosing hypo awareness"..

The conflicting advice is astounding..!

I use Levemir twice a day(when I wake up-20U--Night-15U). I also use Novorapid thrice a day.(6-8U)My blood glucose is between 4-7,5 mol.
6-7 hypoglicemia in a week is too harmful ?

It is I'm afraid and is far too many, as well as the obvious risks there's the possibility that your hypo awareness symptoms may fade in time or disappear altogether.

If your outside the UK have a look at the following, it's a carb counting course which teaches you to dose adjust your insulin to match the food that you eat, it will also cover things like getting your basal insulin right (levemir) which is important before looking at anything else:

Thanks for reply.
You think I use Levemir wrongly don't you? Lastly What would you like to think about pre meal and post meal bg levels?
Pre meal-4.7 mol
Post meal 1 hour-6.1 mol
Post meal 2 hours-4.6 mol
Break meal(15-20 gr carbs)
After break meal 1 hour-7.2 mol
After break meal 2 hour-6.1 mol
After break meal 3 hour-5.3 mol
You think Is way normal, good ?

ask your questions to @noblehead , he is very clever and has offered to help you.
I'm T2 and I wouldn't advise anyone on what dose to take, I put up links for you to read...see if basal testing makes more sense in Turkish

or find a Turkish one https://www.google.com.au/#q=levemir+bazal+testi&nfpr=1 and read a Turkish site on how to miss a meal and do a basal test.

Your postprandial bg levels at 4.6 (at the 2 hours mark) is too low as your quick acting insulin is still active and can be up to 4-5 hours after injecting, you need to do some basal checks first above all else, when you've done that you can then look at your meal-time insulin ratio's, the BDEC link I give earlier covers all this.

I have had an awful lot of hypos lately because of an accident. It did settle after 2 to 3 weeks but this last week has been bad again. The slightest upset makes my BS very erratic :(

I have approx 2 a week but this is due to my very tight control of my diabetes.I carb count and I am very aware of what I am doing,so, I have total control of what i am doing,so have no worries.

i choose whether or not to hypo, my DSN told me i should have at least 2 a week as to not maintain too high levels all week, i know what a hypo feels like even when im asleep I know when to wake up and have something

Obviously you must be ok with that advice and feel safe and in control , but I would be too worried about trying this, as each time you have a low blood sugar you lose brain cells. I know we have millions of them supposedly but at my age I need every brain cell I have, and for them to be in working order.

Regarding nigh time lows, I too often wake up if my blood sugar level drops. Normally because it causes me to need a trip to the loo, then I notice the light is flickering so realise my levels are low. Despite this normally happening there have been other occasions where I've wakened to find myself in hospital or came round to find myself sitting up but slumped over with no vision at that point and a really painful hand from where my GP had given me a straight injection of glucose into a vein. I hadn't responded to the glycogen pen one into the skin. That night was a close shave and my husband thought I was dead. My memory was never the same after it. So assume I lost a shed load of brain cells that night.

Me too! its like 6 times a week... and my family has to put white bread with table sugar in my mouth. In my case it is all due to the bolus
