How many times do you happen hypoglicemia a week?

I'm a student/artist. I've had type 1 diabetes since I was 2, and I am currently having hypos 5-6 times daily which are usually around 1.2- 1.8 readings. My long term test was 115 last year, and by working with a diabetes specialist I have managed to get it down to 42 in recent months. I'm not sure why other people seem to think hypos are bad as I don't get any symptoms and I feel happier having hypos than I do having high blood readings as then my vision goes out the window. Currently on the 4 a day humalog and lantus, and I have just been approved to an insulin pump because my glucose levels are in good control and my specialist and dietician are very happy with me. I think it's just different for everyone and some people do well with hypos and some obviously don't. I think they affect children significantly more than adults as well, as they're not a problem when you get older.

I have not been here in about six months. Please forgive me if I do something wrong. A while back I read a book about "the pancreas".
Last year, I had excessive lows. I had no insurance. The ambulance people give me D-50. This is because it is done by
I.V. My threshold hold was about 70-85. Then I had no symptoms. The. B/S would run 2 times a night. One following the other..
I would get as low as 17 or 32 b/s. I would have these low numbers and be sitting in chair talking to chief.
I am on Levimer and Humalog. In past 6 weeks no low b/s. I am type 1, with epilepsy. ( seizures, gran mal ). Thank goodness
I have insurance now. I also have a good Dr. I am in the USA, looking forward to insulin inhaler, that has just been approved by
DAD.

It is in a sense like alcohol, the longer between drinking the more effects you feel when you next drink. As opposed to drinking every week which allows your body to get used to the routine of drinking and you don't get that buzz from being drunk as you know what it's like, just like a hypo, you hypo too much and that feeling of being shaky/sweaty or whatever signs you get will disappear unless you keep within normal blood glucose or at least above 4.2mmol/l.

I may have 1-3 a week, depending how busy I am at work! My prob is more hyperglycaemia!! So when I have a hypo I can really feel the effects!!
