Room 101 (like the TV prog)

He's always had nice chewy stuff. He just chewed everything else as well.
And he always sniffs and widdles. Everything. It would just be nice not to have to stop every 10 feet.
And he gets one small scratching, when we've finished the rest.

But yes, returning to work is punishment enough...

Anyone actually enjoy work?
I have had one job I loved. 6 years of it. True job satisfaction. But nothing like it before or since.

Hmmm, nice try. I would be more convinced if we had evidence from the wee doggie. I mean, how would you like it if you were stopping to admire a view, or enjoying a nice creamy coffee in the spa and someone kept hurrying you along? Doggie sniffing and peeing is the equivalent.

I also notice the diversion tactic, change of subject to employment. I am thinking maybe a short time on probation, or community service could be what you need @Brunneria. Does anyone else agree?

Well, this was him last week in the Peak District tram museum's sculpture garden.

Masses of sniffing and widdling there! Both the giant ant and the tree-stump library got christened. Thankfully no witnesses, or we might have been evicted for artistic vandalism!

Ok, sufficient evidence to prove your innocence @Brunneria. Doggie off lead, free sniffing and peeing time. Case dismissed. You are free to return to work, without electronic tagging.
 
I add to that, the doggie is enjoying the cultural experience too.

As I now walk almost every day, I've built up a list of things that can happily be consigned to Room 101:

Drivers who park half on the pavement and half on the road - there's not enough room for two cars to pass so they're hindering other motorists and they're blocking half the pavement so mothers with pushchairs or those in wheelchairs struggle to get past. One selfish action and they've inconvenienced two sets of people at the same time.

People who have gravel driveways who don't sweep up the gravel from the pavement leaving us walkers to tread on stones that then hurt our feet.

Cyclists who ding their bells expecting pedestrians to move out of their way even though they're riding on a pavement and not a designated cycle path. Especially those who then take umbrage when this is pointed out to them. Oh, and whilst we're at it, let's add cyclists in pedestrianised areas. They clearly don't seem to understand what pedestrianised means. The 'ped' bit means foot not wheel!

Car owners who buy a vehicle that is too long for their driveway and therefore overhangs the pavement. Measure twice, buy once.

Families who have more cars than they can fit on their driveway and who thus end up parking a car or two on the road. Or more likely half on the pavement and half on the road. And almost always right next to an overlength vehicle that's already blocking part of the pavement.

Yes, would agree, as we have already got a section in 101 for the errant drivers and cyclists.
Please note Mr Pipp has already been declared an exempt cyclist as he does none of those annoying things in @julifriend's post, and would wholeheartedly agree that those that do are pests that get cyclists like Mr Pipp a bad name. In fact, Mr Pipp would gladly boot them and their bikes all the way to 101 along with the motorists who park in such inconvenient places such as the van man who parks on the pavement across the gate to my only wheelchair access to our property.

As for the gravel, they should be made to walk barefoot over it for hours, then try wheeling themselves in a wheelchair across it. Get them in now!

And the electric chair jockeys who are quite happy to ram your legs or run over your feet without so much as a sorry,

Hmm, yes. As long as you don't send me in I might get one of those whizzy chairs or scooters. I could wreak havoc and get revenge with one of those.

Um er...... I may or may not be guilty of a few of these. Can I plead extenuating circumstances?

- I park half on road half on pavement because our neighbours across the road moan like mad if I don't that they can't get their car out (try learning to drive properly then cos no one else in the road seems to have a problem grr)

- I cycle with my 7 yr old and although I am on the road there is no way in hell I am letting him do that yet. Too many drivers are complete nutters, plus my son is a typical boy with the concentration span of a gnat. He'd get run over in seconds. His bell warns walkers that he is coming and will be trying to go around them. Considerate I feel rather than rude

- we have 2 cars by necessity as both work in different directions and I'm part time to do school runs etc. drive is for 1 car only

I am a nice person really. Please don't put me in room 101. I'm enjoying the peace without my MIL :D

Leg is feeling a lot happier. Got my 6 week X-ray etc on Tuesday when I'll find out if it's healed yet or not. If do then it's physio time as I am no where near able to bend it to the point I can try and stand on it yet. Bit worried about neuropathy in my toes as the nerves have been swollen for the last 5 weeks and the feeling comes and goes, tender to touch as well (might be being a bit overly paranoid tho lol).

Definitely have not been performing any of the bad driving and cycling actions for the last 5 weeks so I feel I should be ok on this side of room201 lol
