I'm a type 2 trying to get into shape and get my sugars on track. Previously, I was doing an hour-long session at the gym 3 times a week (5 min warm up and cool down with 30 mins running and 20 mins light weights/sit ups etc). I was also taking one ballet class a week. However, since my son has started school, the time I'm out of the house for has extended a fair bit -- meaning that I'm not getting dinner on the table until 6.45, which makes for a very late trip to the gym some 2 hours later...and at that point it's always horrendously crowded.
I'm going to add one more dance class and I've started parking my car a 10 minute walk away from the office, but I could really use some ideas for stuff to do at home -- especially now that the nights are drawing in. Are there any good resources out there to get me started if I got some dumbbells and a yoga mat for example? The resistance training is actually my least favourite form of exercise to be honest so it'd be good if it was something fun as well....thank you for any help you're able to offer
