I am new to this forum and I am hoping to learn more about type 2 diabetes. I was diagnosed about 5 years ago and whilst it came as a blow, I was after trying Metaformin which did not suit be prescribed Diamicron. This has worked petty well until just lately.
My husband had a minor stroke in February this year, followed 3 weeks later after he was discharged from hospital by a diabetic crash due to his Doctor overdosing his meds x 4.
4 weeks later my husband was admitted to A & E as an emergency and was diagnosed with bacterial Meningitis on exmination they found a small cancer in his lung which he is being treated for.
Now to the point I had a blood test 2 days running and my diabetes count was 265 the following day it was 263 this was in the morning before eating or drinking anything.
My question can the emotional stress of my husbands cause my diabetes to worsen , and also is this permanent .
