Food aromas

A little while ago a survey was done on peoples favorite smells and it seems that toast cooking came out on top..so what is your favorite smell when it come to food
Mine has to be the smell of fresh brewed coffee and newly baked bread which is strange really as I was never a big bread eater and would go for days without eating any at all but going into a supermarket where they bake their own bread the smell is totally mouth watering and makes me want some I have to be really firm with myself and not buy any

A lovely roast mmmm! Or bakers!! I can't decide haha!
 
A common sales ploy around here - when showing your house to potential buyers - is to have a newly baked bread just out of the oven prior to the viewing ... ;) - but most people have caught on to the trick by now ...

So so many, bacon, roast beef, fresh baked bread, ground coffee, fried onions, my wife's home-made lasagna, fish 'n' chips, curry...........................:)
 
There is one place in our market that has the most fantastic rotisseried chicken. It's next door to a stall that cooks confied duck and saute potatoes cooked in the fat.. The smells from that corner always tempt me (but I mostly resist too expensive to have every week..)
 
I wonder now if the food smells we love most are the things that we can no longer eat. Does the smell of a former loved food make you ever give in and have some
