finally Friday has come, diabetic nurse consultation has happened, been officially been diagnosed type 2 and been put on metformin, hoping I can start feeling normally soon with some energy x

That's good Sarah. Did you get any useful advice about diet and/or testing?

not really,was supposed to get a welcome pack to the diabetic club but they had ran out, (typical) the dn praised this website, I have to ring her in two weeks if my energy levels haven't increased and see her in 4 weeks time, she didn't recommend that I test my bm,but I will continue to until I know my own bodies reaction to certain foods x

Great news. Just follow the dietary advice on this website. If the Metformin gives any stomach troubles do ask for the SR (Slow Release) version assuming you haven't already been prescribed that.
