What kind of Swedish rye bread? Has it got a name?yes it is that bad.
The white pap sold as bread in supermarkets, made with the Chorleywood process is vile.
I buy fresh real bread, generally sourdough rye from a baker who takes his time. More expensive, but when I only eat one slice a day that's not so much of an issue.
Currently working through the superb rye bread the wife brought back from Sweden, much better.
I can take 1 slice of bread. white, brown, wholemeal, rye. All the same to me really. 2 slices has a big effect on my BG. As said above it is the bread itself not the adativesSurely there must be some healthy bread out there that does not contain those unhealthy additives etc; that we can enjoy.
Would make no difference mate. I made my own bread for 20 years. it is the bread its self (wheat ) which raises my BG.Try making your own with whole meal flour, pinch of salt, water, tablespoon of yeast. That's all you need to make tasty low sugar healthy bread. You can even add crushed nuts to add flavour. That's all I eat.
sugar or gluten?Having recently experienced un-ignorable evidence that I'm intolerant of wheat. And spelt.
I am certain that 'our bread is really that bad' for me.
And cake
And pastry
And pasta
And cous cous
And thickened sauces
And...
