What "man" problems have you endured after being diagnosed, or on medication. What has been done about it?

Well he tends to aggravate me abit more so I just tend to walk out the room.

I knew exactly what he meant but obviously could not answer the question, but I am sure someone will if they are brave enough lol.

Truly made me chuckle too!!

Guys.. Where's some answers??

They don't want to tell us! Probably cos there's a few women hanging round the thread. Lol

I'm thinking of the scene in Monty Python' s "Life of Brian". "Are there any women here?"

Autonomic neuropathy is quite capable of dis-masting a person long before diagnosis. I understand that it is that symptom that sends some people off to see their GP which is where they discover they have diabetes. Some pills have erectile dysfunction as part of the possible adverse side effects ......as though you needed that as well.

My nurse broached the subject because she thought I was too embarrassed to. She doesn't know me as well as I thought. She offered me some viagra which was kind of her since she had stopped issuing me with test strips. This shows she has her priorities in the right place. I declined her kind offer since I am in my 70's and wouldn't know where to put them.

I would not know,as I have chosen a vegan diet.

Not so much "problems" but more a cure. Before being diagnosed and getting put on medication, I was constantly dry mouthed, drinking oceans at a time and getting up during the night at least every 2-3 hours for a pee. Since going on the tablets (from day 1) I have slept through the night from around 11pm - 8am, not once getting up in the night. My dry mouth problem has gone and I hardly drink anything anymore.
This diabetes thing has also taught me and is still teaching me a better lifestyle as much as the food side is concerned. I am finding stuff to eat that I thought I wouldn't like, but hey, there is some nice alternatives out there.
