Hi,
My doctor told me today ( after loads of tests to find out why I was always getting ill) that my hc1ab (?) is 6.2 indicating prediabetes, and she is going to start diet etc plan with me in the new year. Although I need to lose weight ( lots) she said that it is 'steroid induced' after being on oral steroid medication for asthma 2 years of the past 4 years, plus regularly from childhood.
My questions to anyone who has a few minutes:
1. Low carb diet - how do I do this on a no dairy, nuts, soya, beans and pulses (severe allergy) diet?
2. I have very poor healing skin ( plus chronic eczema) and incredibly cracked heels - could this be linked?
3. Does anyone have experience of taking steroid tablets ( prednisolone ) while trying to lower levels - I have been told that treating asthma will have to be the priority but the two regimes don't fit well together
4. What effects does stress have? ( very sick daughter)
I have millions of questions but those are the ones I just can't seem to find answers to at the moment!
Thank you
