Now yr talking. Mega yum.
I've noticed this a lot with branded & none branded or stores own, that the store own contain less carbs. WHY?.I was checking the carb content on the back of a box of Thorntons Diabetic chocolates and they were 62g per 100g, yet the Non diabetic chocolate Santa next to it was only 52g per 100g.........................HUH![]()
Yes it's the type of carbs not the amount that affects how they load your blood, hence the GL load. Some low GL's have hi carbs but because they're good carbs all is good, that's why i'm adopting eating to load over carbs when I know its low GL that is but go for low carb when not sure of GL load level & it seem to work okkies for me.Watching horror film, one of 4 Argos baby bookcases full - plus overflow. Couldn't eat crisp butty at mo if you paid me tho love 'em dearly. Forgot to ration Thorntons diabetic chocs though b.s. is great, 4.7 (or was it 4.9) despite high carbs in them and after cauli & leek & stilton "soup". Sauce thickened wth xanthan gum.
Would currently beat anyone in gurgly tummy competition.
I did think low gi carbs after testing, hence the check of ingredients but couldn't suss out where carbs were coming from.... Quite understand where you're coming from. Quinoa flour is high carb, low gi. Anyone recommend a good gi carbs book? Hated carbs & cals, told me nothing at all. Two books I got give good info except no gi. Want a book rather than Weblinks so can keep in kit ChenYes it's the type of carbs not the amount that affects how they load your blood, hence the GL load. Thank you for your kind words.Very stressful. Glad he and you are both ok. One of our feed reps had something similar many years ago and ended up in hospital - he was a fit , young man but whatever virus he had had infected his heart. Fine now but it was quite a shock as will your experience have been. Try and relax and enjoy rest of the festive season xx
