As Mr E's not feeling so good due to his man flu and lack of personal attention, will he still be wanting those Diabetic Thorntons chocolates ....................Just asking, that's all:rolleyes::rolleyes::D

Last 3 days....4.6, 4.6, 4.8 :):):)even had apple crumble and custard again after dinner. 2 hours after brekkie and walk have been 4.5 and 4.8 lets see what today brings. Have a great weekend ALL

Brilliant readings Beatdise, and over Christmas too. Has your meter broken? LOL joke. You must be delighted.:joyful:

A steady 4.1 for me this morning, which is after a full day, yesterday of extremely low numbers. I’m assuming that was an over-hang (or do I mean hangover) from the alcohol consumption the day before. Who knows. But I felt jaded all day yesterday; as did the other inhabitants of Planet Breathe. Yes. We made a fair effort on the drinks cabinet, but actually no spirits whatsoever were consumed, by anyone. I think that’s a record, on this planet anyway!

I don’t know what it was like elsewhere, but we had some spectacular snow yesterday evening, which is almost gone this morning. There’s just a little left on patios and cars, so I think venturing out will be quite safe.

For today, the homage switches from footie to rugger for the men folks, so not much sense out of them until later. Hasn’t TV been dire, or was that just me?

Play nicely boys and girls. Normal service will be resumed soon enough. :)

Dire. I even had to talk to my husband of 40 years.

7.2 this morning not bad with the rubbish i have been picking on over Christmas. Starting to feel bloted so back to watching what i eat today. Start to do fasting levels and 2 random tests from today. Steroids are down to 15mg from today.
Hope everyone had a good Christmas.
Get better soon Mr E :)

6 for me this morning - which in a lot of ways I don't like, after all this time of 5 ' s but I keep re - assuring myself that it's ok given I've hardly gone ott on "treats" ! A lot of protein in Turkey and cheese yesterday, one indulgence of a couple of chocolate truffles, I was 5.5 at 9 pm before those, didn't give in to temptation to test at bed incase it freaked me!!
I did amuse myself last night as I wanted re - assurance and went to make sure my newest smallest jeans still fit....They do!!
Absolutely awful day, hasn't stopped heavy rain since 7pm last night, less than 20 miles away has snow though!

Stayed off all alcohol yesterday, but the family are still here and had two potatoes with the roast gammon, leeks and red cabbage. This spiked me to 8.0 again (from 5.2) - it was the potatoes because I've had the red cabbage/apple several times since diagnosis and it's OK (the value of keeping a food log!). I don't think I'll bother with potatoes again to be honest, the other veg tasted better.

Anyway, 5.7 this morning which is fine for the season.

5.5 this morning.... I was like Omg this cannot be right. Tested twice more and got 5.3 and 5.6. So I will stick with the 5.5. This is my lowest fasting reading ever I think.

I was pretty good yesterday except for a small bit of dessert.... However I really don't think I can tolerate carbs too much any more, as I was as sick as a dog in the middle of the night... Had been feeling unwell since I woke up yesterday morning. So I think that is why he fastIng test was so low... That and the fact I didn't get up until 11am this morning.

I really enjoyed my Christmas Day binge which consisted of 3 roasties and a huge bit of stuffing made with sausage meat and peas. Followed later by 2 small bits of Christmas pudding covered in extra thick double cream and a couple of thorntons chocolates and loads of nuts... But it's almost a relief to go back to eating normally.

5.1 this morning so the run of 5 days of readings in the 4's comes to an end. Strange as the reading at 11.30pm was 5.1.

Not like you to be feeling grumpy Pavlos :-(. Hope you wake up again in better mood :-). We've got frost after going to bed wth hammering down rain
A bit more sleep, a few extra glasses of fluid to take care of my sore head, and weather that improved sufficiently for me to take a long walk around a local park and wildlife pond and I feel passably human again:-)!

Good to hear Pavlos; sometimes you just have yo get out don't you... What lovely pictures too :)

AND 5 after my walk. My Apple, celery and carrot juice not a problem as my thirst quencher after my walks!!

LOve it. Great setting again Pav. You never fail to deliver. I did a WHOPPING 4.5 Miles today in 1hr and 15 minutes. Temperature was 4 degrees and probably a lot lower with wind chill factor. My favourites on Spotify today;
and

Very poignant in the middle of my workout...everything seems so WONDERFUL!!

Nice day here to shake off the cobwebs, seems we just about escaped the bad weather further north - for now at least.
