Forever Autumn by Justin Hayward bring back some great 70's memories, likewise with Seasons in the Sun by Terry Jacks.

What about The Windmills of Your Mind - Noel Harrison ? The Forever Autumn one jogged my memory on this one because it was also in a film

Ha! Gotcha! (ironic Falklands reference :)) Robert Wyatt also had a hit with "Shipbuilding " in the 80's, though I always preferred the original version by Elvis Costello, who wrote it. As a 60's/70's prog-rock nerd I still live in hope of something by RW's first band, Soft Machine, making it into the charts :)

PS: four words to expunge Clive Dunn from your head: "Saint Winifred's School Choir" :***: :D

dominique - singing nun

OK Guys and Ladies

Go after it ... and if we can, keep it international

Scott McKenzie - San Francisco
Norm Greenbaum - Spirit in the Sky
Thunderclap Newman - Something in the air

That's 3 to kick it off so get the brains ticking shall we ?

Mike :)
Watched one of those top XX one hit wonders once and Norman Greenbaum was at number one and in his interview he said that he went to a gig once and all the wanted to hear was Spirit in the Sky so he played it for two hours and then played it for the encore. Mind you in those days the audience was probably under the influence of something ;)
