BS readings

Hi mike they called today with results of mri... They have found a tumour , now have to go in for biopsy next wed to see what sort it is , ::((
Hi Clive

That's annoying to say the least. Stay positive mate and wishing you a GREAT outcome.

Mike :)

perhaps a bug BT ??

If it were a bug, my post meal rises would be more, not less. I perhaps explained it badly. My post meal rises are lower than I would expect for that meal, for example tonight I had battered fish shop cod and mushy peas with half a slice of bread. I only went up by 0.8. I would have expected to go up by more than that. I usually go up by 1.5 approx. after a chippy fish etc.

Oh!... The first exercise session has worked...

BG: 4.1
2 hours after dinner

I just had another two cheese portions and some walnuts, lets see how the morning reading goes... I am still expecting the 5's but we will see

Hi Clive,
Sorry to hear the news... hopefully it will be something and nothing. Everything crossed for you.

Hi Bluetit, I think you have to just accept you have a really bad batch of strips and try to let the reading wash over you. Usually your readings are really stable and if you are eating similar things, I don't think you need worry. Also if the reading are stressing you out this wont help your BS' at all. Perhaps take a break from testing for a while unless your eating something new.

Thanks for those reassuring words Kezzer. A new pack of 10 tubs is on its way to me right now, courtesy of Homehealth (see AndBreathes thread) so hopefully things will return to normal. Even though we know we have dodgy strips I can't get rid of the thought it might be me deteriorating, and if it is, I don't know why!

My batch 44 readings so far today.

Fasting - a wide selection between 6.1 and 7.4
Brekkie was 100g FF yogurt, 50g raspberries, flaxseed, cup of tea dash of milk. Same every day.
brekkie + 1 hr 6.8
brekkie + 2hrs 6.5
before lunch 6.2 (accu chek 5.6)
lunch +1hr 6.8

Normal mornings I would expect
fasting 5.5
1hr after brekkie 6.8
2hrs after brekkie 6.5
before lunch 5.6
lunch +1hr 6.4

This batch seems fine if levels are in the 6's. It is not fine if levels are in the 5's.
