Some great choices there @Kat100

Books, the complete Discworld series, The Hobbit and LOTR.
DVDs would have to be my Chris Eccleston and David Tennant Doctor Who box sets, complete Torchwood boxset, anything/everything with Johnny Depp, Hobbit / LOTR, oh and so many more! :)

Everything by:
Charles Dickens
Iain Banks, including his science fiction stuff
Bruce Chatwin, particularly The Songlines.

I find myself increasingly reading non-fiction nowadays - I've recently finished The Broken Road by Patrick Leigh Fermour, which I enjoyed, and Claire Tomalin's biography of, erm, Charles Dickens....

About to start H is for Hawk: we belong to a book group, and that's our next one. I read a lot, and a complete list of books that I'd like to take with me would run to hundreds of pages.

I don't really watch dvds over and over again so I'm not sure I'd take any with me. We have complete sets of Green Wing and The Thick of It, both of which I go back to from time to time. I also like off-beat French language films like The Hairdresser's Husband, Les Amants du Pont Neuf, Leon and such like.

We sat through LOTR on new year day last year - 9 hours! Talk about numb bum ;)

I would also add Young Frankenstein to my list of DVD's. Marty Felman was a very under-rated comedian.

I'm currently reading the rape of Nanking, makes my diabetic woes look insignificant.

DVDs? Star Trek ... series (an all spinoffs ) and movies. Could watch them until the sun goes down

Books? Anything related to NASA and space travel. We will never get beyond the moon but so be it.

Didn't you put your name down for a one way ticket to Mars? :)

No way Chris :)

Surprised anyone would ..... imagine the isolation away from your real home !!

Also got the lot. My back room is full of trek stuff. It shares the wall space with my footie teams momentous.

I also have about 150 trek books going way back.

Favourite series, TNG.
Favourite episode The Inner Light. Fabulous writing and imagination.

Can't wait for the third film, due out next year.

There was some good episodes and characters in Voyager but felt It was dragged out and could have done with more double episodes. Storylines were chopped to get into a single episode.

The year of hell is a favourite of mine.

Year of Hell was simply brilliant Nosher !!!

As far as STNG goes, best three for me was Darmok / Cause and Effect / Yesterday's Enterprise

Darmok was brilliantly written, how the hell did they come up with using the languages they used?

I did enjoy the time travel episodes. Was yesterday's enterprise, the one where Denise Crosby had a comeback starring guest part?
