Maybe a cup of tea with milk, or coffee, the milk may bring you up again, or one biscuit? Hope you feel better quickly - let us know.

2.7 feeling rough, I assume this is some sort of type 2 hypo, not sure what to do
I would be getting very confused and have a banging head at that level.
If you're still reading get your missus or someone to check you have that half a banana or something and recheck you in twenty minutes see if it's going up.
At two and half I don't think your safe ... to stay capable for much longer .... seriously.

5.2 this morning - still not cracking the 4s for the morning reading but during the day yesterday I had a couple of 4.5s so have beaten a day time 5 for the first time :) A couple of hours before bed time and two hours after supper I was 6.8.

5.4 at bedtime
5.2 this morning

Off to a family party today including a cooked lunch. Choice of a curry or meat and potato pie so I'm taking my own (I don't like curry). There will be loads of sweet desserts so when asked what I could eat, I said berries and cream. Fingers crossed.

You don't like curry?!

4 jelly babies, 1 green banana 5.8 feeling fine thanks, that will teach me not to skip dinner, obviously when low carbing not a good idea to skip food.

All back to normal.

Thanks folks

I know I'm much later to respond to you John, and hope you're OK now.

Obviously, as you're feeling rough some form of action is required, but did you take a moment to double check the reading?

I'm with Blue on the gentle approach, with tea and milk, then wait a short while. For me, if I get that low, that gives me time to gather my thoughts, and it usually just brings me up enough to be fine again. Ma gain, usually, I'm hungry if I get that low, and expect you would have been ready for breakfast too? I'd just tend to have my brekkies as usual, then test again "in a while".

Unlike others, I have never had a headache or any lasting discomfort from a low number. Personally, I just put it down to a really hungry day, as we might have had once in a while, as non-diabetics. I try not to,make any of these things an event they don't deserve in my life. I record and move on.

Hopefully, you're feeling fine again now.

Are you still taking Metformin John? Has it been under discussion since your latest bloods?

Reading was right, 3 reading all within .2 of each other, woke up some 2 hours later than is usual for me with severe sweats and feeling groggy.

Never felt anything like it before.

Yes still on 2 x Metformin per day, still waiting for next appointment with either Dr or DN to discuss the met.

Delighted to say feeling absolutely fine now, I am putting it down to missing dinner last night, not something I will repeat ever again.

Thank you everyone for your concern.

Have a really great time - fingers crossed as you say for the berries and cream

A shamefaced 6.7 after last night's chip shop fish. In my defence it may have been lower if I'd taken it when I woke up at 6 instead of two hours of tossing and bad tempered mutterings later.
I'd put it down more the the 2 hours tossing and turning than the fish......
