Back in my school days, I loved liver & bacon, fried onions, mash potatos and lots of gravy.

Not sure how I feel about liver today.

6.0 fasting this morning, I was not motivated to jog last night.
I love liver(matchstick fried) with bacon & onions and celeriac mash with it's own gravy:cool:

btw fasting was 4.9 this morning!

6;6 today. Got a dental abcess and feeling fed up and sore. Off to see another dentist today to see if tooth can be saved - if not extraction and a whopping bill for Implant.

A somewhat disappointing 5.6 this morning. Since it was 5.1 last night and I had convinced myself that dawn phenomenon only happened to other people, I was expecting lower.

Well my self test for my ogtt was 7.4 at just a bit under 2 hours and 6.0 at about 2hr15. 14 after one however they did no test themselves then!

:( Not nice... on top of everything else, it's just not fair... :inpain: I'm sorry you feel so bad... I hope the news from the dentist is not too bad... talk to them about a Maryland Bridge... much cheaper and no drilling into the bone or filing your other teeth down to points - which means not so much anaesthetic and only two appointments.. usually done in around two weeks... :) Hopefully they will know how to do it and give you some good news.... Let us know how you get on...

Will do but I was down to lower end of 5 before my mad 3 month carb binge
It's just a blip... tomorrow is another day.. and the one after that... etc etc... :)

7.0 mmol / L this morning - went to bed on 6.3 mmol / L in the early hours this morning. Had four hours ... ish, sleep.

Under the circs that's not too bad CE - good luck at the dentist today :)

Is that good?

The 1 hour not so good.. but not relavent to the test. The 2hour test is fine. Just normal, very nearly prediabetes. Will wait to see what the proper results are before breaking out the Victoria sponge!

Mine are always high all day. 9.5 before breakfast, 16.4 after. It's rarely below 8 in the morning

Best work to get numbers below 8. Welcome to the forum by the way :) Besides the medication what else are you doing diet and exercise-wise?

You did your own test as a rehearsal for one at the surgery? When is that happening?

Cutting back on portion size. Cutting back on things with sugar.

No I did the actual test today. But took my own readings alongside the formal blood test. I took a test at 1hr And a few minutes either side of their blood draw.

Hi and welcome. To have a rise from 9.5 to 16.4 after breakfast perhaps tells you that your breakfast needs amending? That is a huge rise. It is wise to keep any rise from before to after a meal to under 2mmol/l, ideally under 1.5mmol/l. I suspect you had cereal with milk? Or toast?
