There's going to be some to-ing and fro-ing Diana! 6.2 here also, I could almost predict that from the way my heart was banging away when I woke up (and I'm not sure of all the reasons behind that).

Thank you for the encouragement!

Bedtime - 5.2
Fasting - 5.6 :)

5.1 this morning

I gave blood last night, shouldn't that take some glucose out with the blood making BG readings lower? Doesn't work!

Maxwell

7.7 this am.... woke at 1.30 and found it difficult to get back to sleep, managed it about 3am .... have a great day all :)

Sorry for the late post and I have not posted for two weeks due to Kidney problems, been unwell.
8.9 fasting
7.6 pre-meal
Trace ketones
Sorry you've been under the weather Eddie... nice to see you back. Hope you're feeling more the ticket now...

9.4 this morning chest still grumpy go away smog. Steroids up to 25mg daily till next week and go back to chest clinic in two weeks

6.2 again, heart still banging away (maybe too much coffee recently?) and there's 100% cloud so I won't see anything of the eclipse apart from it going dark. :(

6.7 fasting  from a cloudy Qatar morning... 5.9 last night, two hours post - I ate about 8 french fries with my filet steak and veg... the first time in five months - not that they were that good, but I needed to see if I can add some carbs now... obviously I need to test by adding them at lunch time as @AndBreathe says not to eat carbs first thing in the morning if possible... I love quinoa and haven't eaten it for 5 months, so maybe a quinoa salad at lunchtime is the way forward... crumbs, it gets complicated.. :)

4.9 this morning:)
Pup "on the blob" so on lead walks only for next ~18 days but rather than sluggish she's more energetic than usual - Oh B&gger!

Hi Rod,

Coffee for me is a "no no". The sweet lady has to drop it, her mum cannot drink it, I cannot tolerate it at all and it sets my heart racing.

Best Mike :)

It doesn't normally for me Mike, but perhaps I've had too much lately (and leaded too, not decaf)!

Maybe the sky will clear for you S... I hope so... no chance of seeing much here in Qatar, but we will have Sky News on and they're bound to screen it - or BBC World maybe... Does your heart race as well? My husband had the same thing and it turned out to be a sort of physical panic caused by stress....He only usually has a max of one coffee a day.... they gave him a thorough check up in the Fast Track unit in The Great Western.. they are really good and check everything.. maybe you could call your surgery and tell them what's happening.. that's what we did and my husband was in the FT Unit the same afternoon...

Have you tried de caff coffee you still get the taste and smell but none of the kick
I've now swapped to de-caff all the time and live it! Used to have normal first thing in the morning then de-caff during the day, decided a couple months ago to just go de-caff only and love it!
