I'm sure it wasn't meant to offend. It sounded to me as a little tongue in cheek humour. With stresses of keeping bs under control at times many of us have developed an "if you don't laugh you'll cry" mentality to keep us sane.....Thanks for that I'm actually a nursing assistant and a very good one at that . I care and look after people with a wide variey of needs and I can assure you that I have not encouraged anyone under my care to eat **** ! the fact that I do is my own problem . And unless u intended to amuse with ur remarks I actually found them highly y offensive !
Maybe I was being over sensitive . I should perhaps have said that MOST of us are here because of our lifestyles and maybe that also includes u I don't know. But like I say my health problems are of my own making and I have never inflicted them on anyone either in my work or my children .And on a final note if u think I'm a poor role model u should perhaps look at many health care workers , most one the ones I work with are either overweight as I myself am ) smoke and take very little exercise .Now I sound like i'm on a mad rantMy intention was to amuse, if you sensibilities have been offended please know that it was not my intention.
Alpro soya yoghurts are good...the plain, plain with almond or plain with coconut. Carbs LOW too
Could well be the reason. I always test at the same point in my morning routine. Readings sometimes, but not always, a but higher if I've forgotten until later....Ouch - 6.2 this morning. Should really have retested but worried I won't have enough strips for my trip next week although I may visit a local supplier if I have time. This was a reading after my morning shower and I note that others report higher numbers after a shower. I normally test before showering.
6.0 fasting followed by a bulletproof coffee. Does anybody else indulge?
Yes and maybe I was a tad over sensitive I have a very good sense of humour and laff at myself all the time but txt can be taken the wrong way and Ia tad pmt ish .I'm sure it wasn't meant to offend. It sounded to me as a little tongue in cheek humour. With stresses of keeping bs under control at times many of us have developed an "if you don't laugh you'll cry" mentality to keep us sane.....
Same here in Lancashire. Cold and dismal and nit a patch of blue in sight....8.1 last night and 8.5 this morning.
And my bit of South London has complete cloud cover so no chance of seeing the eclipse
Hope your chest soon clears. You've been having a terrible time with it lately.9.4 this morning chest still grumpy go away smog. Steroids up to 25mg daily till next week and go back to chest clinic in two weeks
I eat some carbs at breakfast time though I've tested my limit...I do think as its quinoa you enjoy it is worth trying. Mayb half what used to be your usual portion at first. Our tolerance are all so very different I believe It's best to try and test for yourself6.7 fastingfrom a cloudy Qatar morning... 5.9 last night, two hours post - I ate about 8 french fries with my filet steak and veg... the first time in five months - not that they were that good, but I needed to see if I can add some carbs now... obviously I need to test by adding them at lunch time as @AndBreathe says not to eat carbs first thing in the morning if possible... I love quinoa and haven't eaten it for 5 months, so maybe a quinoa salad at lunchtime is the way forward... crumbs, it gets complicated..

Hola vit90What do you put in your coffee, butter or the MCT oil?
I'm with you there as I don't and wonder why....I don't seem to get the liver dumps.

I leveled out my weight loss around Nov-Dec-14 and slowly introduced carbs back into my evening meal, brown rice with some roast potatoes with Sunday Roast dinner... since pulling those to see if I could get my evening BG a bit more under control the weight loss has started again, 0.5 kg every two weeks.... so thought about introducing carbs to breakfast, raw oats to my yogurt and testing and it seems okay.... though I forgot to add them this morning as I'm adding some Chia seeds as well....I eat some carbs at breakfast time though I've tested my limit...I do think as its quinoa you enjoy it is worth trying.
