Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

Mine was 11.5!
New to monitoring but this seems high comparatively to everyone else's

Some folk have far higher ones on different threads , think its about gradually getting the figures down and finding out what works ( or doesn't ) for you .

6.6 mmol / L this morning. Didn't take a pre bed reading.

Would love to be mid 5s but, whilst taking ibuprofen that's out of the question.

Does ibruprofen put levels up? I only ask as I'm having to take it along with Paracetemol following a dental extraction and my levels are higher.

Terrible, 6.8. Early start today for a Saturday but still.

That's not terrible - perhaps higher than you'd like or expected but, not terrible.

Over 10 or in the teens would be terrible in my opinion.

6.0 fasting followed by a bulletproof coffee. Does anybody else indulge?

Yeup! Pretty much every day!

Usually, Monday to Friday I have Bullet Proof Coffee - the 'Original' 'Dave Asprey' recipe - for breakfast. I then don't eat again until around 3:30pm.

Saturday and Sunday coffee with Raw Cream - my little weekend indulgence which, is so blooming lovely!

Does ibruprofen put levels up? I only ask as I'm having to take it along with Paracetemol following a dental extraction and my levels are higher.

It does for me! Not much, comparatively speaking, mind you. About 1.5 mmol / L for me on average.

I'm searching for ibuprofen that doesn't have sucrose mixed in. If you find any please let me know.

Thanks. I never knew it had sucrose in it!!! Mine seems up by about .5mmol/l.

Same here I've had a couple of higher readings this week and I occasionally have a couple for my shoulder pain (rotor cuff).

Hi everyone. It's a lovely day here. StArted the day at 6.3. Went for a lovely long walk up and down hills in a local country park. I was 5.7 before my meal. Have a good evening everyone.

Hi. I'm quite new to this too. If you study this sight the wise people on here will help you to get your numbers down. Mine have gone from 14s to 6s in a few w weeks. Good luck.

someone mentioned it the other day as putting levels up. It could have explained why my fastings where higher some days last week as i took them at bedtime
